The story centers around the main character, John Matherson’s, experience during the attack. Quicker than a lightening strike, John’s phone call is cut short by the explosion of a nuclear war head over central United States.
I understand that the likelihood of this happening is impossible to say, but it hurts a little less if I push those logically-sourced thoughts of mine deep into my mind, and let myself believe, even for just another moment, that we’ll be together once more.
With all these wildfires picking up in California, more and more high-Category hurricanes in Florida and the Bahamas, and the reoccurring heatwave in Arizona, it couldn’t hurt to be prepared for an emergency.
